Frederick Cooper has invested in the first of our Mental Health First-Aiders who play an active role in supporting our colleagues, providing guidance to professional services within our region.

Birmingham City Mission – Christmas Toy Appeal
Every Christmas BCM distributes gifts to thousands of children in our city who would otherwise not receive presents. It is a mammoth task that relies on the generosity of many people who give toys, energy and time to ensure each child referred to us receives a sack of gifts on Christmas morning. In 2019 Frederick Cooper staff, customers and suppliers worked together and donated a mountain of presents.
Employability
We work with local schools and colleges to identify individuals who are looking for a career in the coatings sector. Every year the company takes on a small number of Apprentices into the Frederick Cooper Training Academy. Apprentices are paired with a personal mentor, an experienced member of the team, to provide additional support as Academy members take their first steps into the world of work.
Sponsorship
At Frederick Cooper we encourage our people to live healthy and active lives and are happy to support a variety of sports clubs and community groups including: Claverdon RFC, Kenilworth RFC, Repton Hockey Club, Belford Rovers FC and Paget Rangers.

We diligently manage waste control, air pollution, waste and energy reduction and recycling schemes across all Frederick Cooper sites, volunteering, access to facilities and other resources.
