    Since 1879, Frederick Cooper (Birmingham) Limited have been recognised as a leading coatings application company, supplying quality work and excellent service. Based in Bordesley Green, we have invested in facilities that allow us to spray parts to a very high aesthetic standard very competitively. We paint onto metal parts / plastics / MDF / wood and carbon fibre and can spray any type of finish. We work with a range of industries from Automotive, FMCG through to the Public Sector.

Available Job Positions

Job Title: Manual Paint Sprayer

Salary: Competitive

Type: Full-time Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week

The Position:

Due to our continued growth, we’re always on the look out for quality manual paint sprayers.

Due to the nature of the business, ideally you will have previous experience as a wet paint sprayer, working within the manufacturing sector – dealing with a variety of materials including both metal and wood. You must be able to fully complete the role 360 degrees, from prep work, through the spraying to the finishing touches. An NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Paint Spraying would be highly advantageous.. You will also have exposure and experience of leading a team as this role will have people management aspects.

Finally, you will appreciate attention to detail, have the willingness to learn to use specialised tools and equipment and a desire to work with staff and accommodate requests.

Duties include:

  • Liaising with staff at all levels
  • Being accountable for the work you produce
  • Working to the set KPI’s
  • Always focusing on best practice
  • Adhering to all aspects of Health and Safety

skills required:

  • Attention to Detail
  • PC Literate – Confident in maths and english
  • Exposure to paint spraying
  • Health and Safety/environmental awareness
  • Willingness to Learn to use Specialised Tools and Equipment
  • Desire to Work with our staff and accommodate requests
  • Being able to resolve problems efficiently

  • Physically capable of moving equipment

Job Title: General Operative

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 39 hours per week

The Position:

Due to our continued growth, we’re always on the look out for eager, proactive individuals to join our team.

Due to the nature of the business, you must be able to stand for long periods and be in a position to move and carry heavy objects. Our General Operatives roles vary but should you be invited to interview we'd go into detail, the different roles and discuss which we feel would be best suited for you.
