Frederick Cooper Ltd
Perfection in Finishing
Plastics and Composites

Painting of plastics, especially in the automotive sector, calls for strict control of gloss and colour in order to ensure accurate matching of different components.

The necessary consistency
Our strict control methods allow us to produce consistent results time after time. This guarantees a high standard of finish on both interior and exterior parts. Most plastics can be coated, thanks to the air drying/force drying of one, two and three coat systems, and our paints include basecoat / clear coat systems, satin chrome effects, ‘Piano Black’ and high gloss finishes, textures, and hammer finishes as well as UV resistant, heat resistant, anti-graffiti coatings.

Quality with flexibility
If a plastic component is being finished it is generally because it is in a highly visible position, therefore attention to detail is essential. The highest quality parts are sprayed in one of our clean rooms ensuring the optimum surface finish. Our quality systems call for every item to be inspected prior to despatch. Additional quality control measures include sampling, auditing and statistical evaluation of the process. The flexibility of production at Frederick Cooper allows volume processing of high quality components to be run in tandem with lower call off batch runs.

With new trends especially in the automotive sector modern materials like carbon fibre are being utilised more commonly. We can finish carbon and other composite materials to same exacting standards as required on plastic parts.
